Costa Rica is about a thousand miles south of Florida - just 2.5 hours by air to San Jose. Because of its higher elevation, it is not as humid and buggy as you think.The main attractions are open year-round, so why not take advantage of the lower rates during this rainy season?
The mornings are sunny and pleasant, and the rain clouds don't build up till late afternoon when you can be back at your home base having refreshments? :>)
I'm off to see the volcano this morning, which has been putting on a show this week for the Green Season guests who hail from US, Canada, Europe. In house this week we also had guys from Spain and France in addition to muchos gringos from the states.
